Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls will be absent from Wednesday night’s face-off against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a foot injury, the team announced.

Billy Donovan mentioned in his pregame press conference that Zach LaVine was considered available. However, confusion arose as LaVine was sidelined due to soreness.

LaVine maintains an average of 21.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.0 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 43.1% from the field and 33.9% from beyond the three-point line.

The Bulls, standing at 5-10 in their initial 15 games, have encountered a rough patch, securing only three victories in their last ten matchups. Their struggles intensify on the road, where they’ve managed just a 1-4 record in five games away from the United Center.

In their recent game at home, the Bulls faced a setback against the Miami Heat, losing 118-100 on Monday evening. During the match, LaVine played for 35 minutes, contributing 13 points, three rebounds, and five assists, shooting at 5/9 from the field and 2/6 from beyond the three-point arc.

LaVine, now in his tenth season in the league, is coming off a year where he averaged 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per contest.

After the Thunder, the Bulls’ upcoming challenge awaits against the Toronto Raptors in Canada on Friday, with expectations that Zach will likely return to the lineup for this matchup.
