The Washington Wizards have decided to exercise their options for the 2024/25 season on Corey Kispert, Johnny Davis, and Patrick Baldwin Jr., sources tell Ava Wallace of the Washington Post.
Corey Kispert’s fourth-year option, valued at $5,705,887, has been exercised. This move was widely anticipated, considering Kispert’s consistent scoring ability.
Kispert maintained an average of 11.1 points per game last season and successfully converted 42.4% of his 3-point attempts.
Johnny Davis had a disappointing rookie year, but the Washington Wizards have chosen to retain him as he was a lottery pick.
After recovering from a left elbow sprain, Davis made his season debut against Boston Celtics and is set to earn $5,291,160 in his third season.
Patrick Baldwin’s situation was somewhat uncertain. He was part of the trade that brought Jordan Poole to Washington and sent Chris Paul to Golden State.
With earnings set at $2,448,840 for the ’24-25 season, Baldwin participated in 31 regular-season games with the Warriors last season, yet he has experienced limited playing time with the Wizards.
