The San Antonio Spurs have limited Victor Wembanyama’s playing time lately, avoiding consecutive games for their standout big man.
It’s uncertain when he’ll play back-to-back games, but there’s hope the minutes restriction might ease soon, according to Tom Osborn of the San Antonio Express.
Coach Gregg Popovich mentioned that increased playing time might not happen in the next game against Philadelphia but could be considered shortly after.
Pop the minutes restriction on Wemby might be lifted soon.
“Not by next game (at Philadelphia on Monday night), but perhaps after that,” he said.

Since December 17, Wembanyama, the skilled French player, hasn’t played more than 27:45 minutes in a single game, averaging 24.5 minutes over his last 12 games.
Despite these limits, he has been integral in the the team’s recent games, including last nights’ win over the Washington Wizards, with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists within 27 minutes on the court.
