Tyus Jones, Markelle Fultz, Reggie Bullock on Pistons Radar

The Detroit Pistons have been actively reshaping their roster this off-season, and it appears they may not be finished yet. In a mailbag for The Athletic, James L. Edwards III speculates on whether the team might make additional moves.

He suggests that the Pistons might look to sign one of the notable guards or wings still available in the free agent market, such as Tyus Jones, Markelle Fultz, or Reggie Bullock.

As the starting point guard for the Wizards, Jones posted career-highs in several categories last season, including field goal percentage (48.9%), three-point percentage (41.4%), points per game (12.0), and assists per game (7.3).

Known for his careful handling of the ball, he averaged just 1.0 turnover per game, his highest in several years.

The Pistons have the salary cap space to sign Jones, and his experience could be valuable in mentoring their young guards—Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey, and Marcus Sasser.

Markelle Fultz is likely to stay with the Magic next season, but the Pistons might still pursue him. Meanwhile, Reggie Bullock, who is not expected to return to Houston, could find Detroit a viable destination.

Edwards also considers the possibility of a Jaden Ivey trade. With the potential for increased playing time for Malik Beasley and Tim Hardaway Jr., Ivey, a former lottery pick, might find it increasingly difficult to secure significant minutes.
