Taurean Prince to Sign One-Year Deal with Bucks

Free agent forward Taurean Prince plans to sign a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Due to their proximity to the second tax apron, the Bucks can only offer the veteran’s minimum salary to outside free agents, so Prince’s contract will likely be at that minimum rate.

Prince, 30, signed a one-year, $4.5 million contract with the Lakers last season, where he played a key role.

He started 49 games and averaged 27.0 minutes per game, his highest since the 2019/20 season. Over 78 games, he averaged 8.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 39.6% from three-point range.

The Bucks are expected to remain active in the market this offseason.
