Phoenix Suns guard, Devin Booker, won’t be taking the court for Sunday’s game away from home against the Detroit Pistons due to a bothersome ankle, as per Underdog NBA.
It is an injury he acquired during Thursday’s defeat against the Spurs, making his comeback after a three-game absence caused by discomfort in either his foot or ankle.
Moreover, Bradley Beal’s much-anticipated debut with the Suns will remain on hold due to a lingering back issue.
In the defeat against the San Antonio Spurs, Devin Booker displayed his prowess, playing for 35 minutes and delivering an impressive performance with 31 points, 13 assists, and nine rebounds.
Prior to yesterday’s contest against the Sixers, Suns’ head coach Vogel reaffirmed that Beal’s status remained unchanged, despite his acquisition from the Washington Wizards during the offseason.
Beal’s absence, stemming from a series of injuries, continues the challenges he has faced, having missed 32 games in the prior season.
He was restricted to just 40 games in the 2021-22 season following wrist surgery and has now missed the initial five games of the 2023-24 season.
Nevertheless, there is optimism surrounding Beal’s return, potentially marking his debut next Wednesday when the Suns square off against the Chicago Bulls, as previously reported.
Beal has been actively engaged in various drills, including dribbling, mobility, and shooting exercises, concluding with a series of sprints spanning from one sideline to the other.
Beal, 30, and a three-time All-Star, boasts a career average of 22.1 points and a 37.2 percent accuracy in three-point shooting over 695 games played.
This Sunday afternoon, the Phoenix Suns will clash with the Pistons in Detroit, both teams carrying a (2-4) record this season.
