Spurs Trade No. 35 Pick Furphy to Pacers for No. 36 and Cash

The Indiana Pacers and the San Antonio Spurs have arranged to switch positions in the second round of the draft, allowing Indiana to advance to pick No. 35 while San Antonio drops to No. 36, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

With their No. 35 pick, the Pacers chose Kansas wing Johnny Furphy, while the Spurs selected Spanish point guard Juan Nunez at No. 36.

In this deal, the Spurs will receive cash from the Pacers for moving down a spot. Consequently, Indiana will hit the second tax apron for the 2024/25 season, as teams in this bracket cannot send cash in trades.
