Celebrating six years together, the couple posted a heartwarming Instagram photo to announce their upcoming journey into parenthood. This story began on New Year’s Day in 2017, well before Shai’s NBA draft.
Both hailing from Canada, 25-year-old Shai and 24-year-old Hailey have a connection that goes beyond the basketball court. Hailey, a former collegiate soccer player at the University of Albany, brings her own athletic flair to the relationship.
Shai is truly shining, not just in the NBA but overall. After earning All-Star status and landing a spot on the All-NBA First Team last season, he’s now consistently putting up an impressive 29.9 points per game this season.
On top of that, he played a pivotal role in leading the Canadian Basketball team to their first-ever bronze medal in the FIBA World Championship, beating the United States in the 3rd-4th place match to secure that coveted bronze.
Also, SGA’s performance this season has propelled the Oklahoma City Thunder to an impressive 13-6 record, securing a recent win against the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks nearly stole the show with a remarkable 30-0 run in the fourth quarter but ultimately fell short.
This win has maintained the Thunder at the second spot in the Western Conference. Beyond the basketball buzz, Shai is preparing for the exciting adventure of fatherhood off the court.
