The Rockets have signed Nate Hinton and Jermaine Samuels Jr. to Exhibit 10 contracts, according to Kelly Iko of The Athletic. These deals are expected to convert into two-way contracts before the regular season begins.
Earlier, the Rockets chose not to extend a two-way qualifying offer to Hinton. The 25-year-old averaged 2.2 points and 1.5 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per game across 15 regular-season games last season.
Now, Hinton will have the opportunity to earn another two-way contract by playing with Houston’s Summer League team.
Despite not starting any games for the Rockets in last season, Samuels appeared in 14 regular-season matches.
He averaged 4.3 minutes on the court per game, contributing 1.4 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 0.2 assists per game. He is expected to join the teams’ summer league roster.
Additionally, Oregon center N’Faly Dante agreed to a two-way deal with the Rockets just last week.
