Anthony Edwards did not return to Friday’s game against the Kings because of personal matters.
Reports suggest he left to be present for the birth of his child ( little ant ). Edwards and Jeanine Robel, his partner and expectant mother of their child, have been together since early 2023.
They announced their pregnancy in November, with the due date expected tonight – as per reports. Throughout Jeanine’s pregnancy, Edwards has been consistently supportive and expresses his admiration for her on social media.

Before exiting the game, the standout wing player scored 11 points (2-11 FG, 1-3 3PT, 6-6 FT), grabbed two rebounds, dished out two assists, and blocked one shot in 19 minutes of play.
It’s uncertain if he’ll be available for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, but considering the reason for his exit tonight, he should be expected to play.
