The Toronto Raptors are waiving Mouhamadou Gueye, according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports.
Gueye first joined the Raptors in 2023, starting with the NBA Summer League and eventually signing a contract with the team on August 1. Despite being waived in October, he continued playing for Raptors 905.
His elite performance in the G League earned him a 10-day contract with the Raptors in February 2024, marking his NBA debut against the San Antonio Spurs on February 12. In that game, he scored two points, grabbed three rebounds, and recorded two blocks in just six minutes of play.
Throughout his time with the Raptors, Gueye appeared in 11 regular-season games, averaging 2.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks per game.
The Raptors still have D.J. Carton signed to a two-way contract for the 2024/25 season. With the new league year starting next week, they’ll be in a position to create two new two-way roster spots.
