Pistons Eyeing Former Knicks GM Scott Perry for President Role

Former Knicks general manager Scott Perry is being considered as a potential candidate for the position of president of basketball operations for the Pistons, as reported by Ian Begley of SNY.tv.

Detroit is currently seeking outside assistance in their search for a new head of basketball operations.

Perry, a native of Detroit, began his career in the front office with the Pistons back in 2000 before moving on to roles with Seattle, Orlando, and Sacramento.

He served as the GM for the New York Knicks starting in 2017 until his contract ended last year.

During the 2023/24 season, Perry has been working as an analyst for ESPN. According to Begley, Perry is highly respected within the league by both executives and agents alike.
