The New Orleans Pelicans have brought Jordan Ford on board with an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Sean Cunningham of Fox 40.
Ford, a Sacramento native who had a two-way contract with the Kings, will join the Pelicans’ Summer League team.
While playing for the Stockton Kings, Sacramento’s G League team, Ford posted impressive stats last season, averaging 16.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. He also shot 49.6% from the field and an incredible 94.3% from the free-throw line.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary deal that doesn’t impact the team’s salary cap unless the player makes the regular season roster.
It can be converted to a two-way contract before the season starts, or it can allow the player to earn a bonus of up to $77.5K if he’s waived and then spends at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate.
