On Wednesday, the Philadelphia 76ers will kick off the play-in tournament against the Miami Heat, fighting tooth and nail for a spot in the playoffs.
Their star player, Joel Embiid, who was absent from the final regular season game against the Brooklyn Nets, has been given the go-ahead by head coach Nick Nurse to join the lineup.
Embiid has had an exceptional season, boasting impressive stats across the board: 34.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game, with solid shooting percentages.
Currently sitting as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 47-35 record, the 76ers are on a hot streak, winning eight of their last ten games, including an eight-game winning streak.
Their recent victory over the Orlando Magic saw Embiid leading the charge with a stellar performance: 32 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and one block.
This marks the 76ers’ seventh consecutive appearance in the NBA playoffs, although last year’s journey ended in a tough seven-game series loss to the Boston Celtics in the second round.
