The Milwaukee Bucks are set to sign a deal with seasoned swingman Glenn Robinson III, as disclosed by an insider to Michael Scotto of USA Today Sports.
A former selection in the second round, precisely the 40th pick in the 2014 draft, Robinson boasts a seven-year NBA journey, showcasing his talents with the Timberwolves, Sixers, Pacers, Pistons, Warriors, and Kings.
This 29-year-old athlete has been absent from the NBA scene since the 2020/21 season, where he contributed to 23 games with the Sacramento team, maintaining an average of 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
Robinson, a 6’6″ wing, maintains career statistics of 5.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game across 304 games, of which he started 105, all while playing an average of 17.4 minutes per contest.
Back in August, Robinson reportedly undertook workouts with the Warriors and Celtics, endeavoring to secure a return to the NBA.
Although those clubs did not extend him a contract, he now seizes an opportunity with the Milwaukee squad.
Nevertheless, it’s worth noting that the Bucks currently have 15 players locked into guaranteed standard contracts, and Robinson’s vast experience disqualifies him from obtaining a two-way deal.
Consequently, it’s likely that he’ll be released in the near future and embark on the 2023/24 season with the Wisconsin Herd, Milwaukee’s G League affiliate.
Notably, his contract features the Exhibit 10 provision, which would grant him a bonus of up to $75,000 should he be let go and complete at least 60 days with the Herd.
Also Elijah Hughes and Kihei Clark have successfully obtained exhibit 10 contracts with the Milwaukee Bucks, reports Keith Smith of Spotrac.
Both Elijah and Clark have previous affiliations with the Utah Jazz, with Hughes spending one season there, and Clark participating in the summer league before joining the Bucks.
It is likely that they will find themselves with the Bucks’ G-League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd.
Upon the finalization of these contracts, the Milwaukee Bucks will have a complete roster consisting of 21 players, aligning with the preseason maximum limit.
