The Dallas Mavericks have signed free agent Jazian Gortman to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract, according to Keith Smith of Spotrac.
The 6’2 guard signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Milwaukee Bucks last summer but was waived before the start of the 2023/24 season.
He spent last season in the G League, playing for the Wisconsin Herd and the Rip City Remix.
Across 41 games with both clubs, he posted averages of 9.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, while shooting 40.8% from the field, 30.8% from three-point range, and 71.9% from the free-throw line in 18.4 minutes per game.
An Exhibit 10 contract is a non-guaranteed, minimum-salary deal that doesn’t count against a team’s salary cap unless the player makes the regular season roster. This contract can be converted into a two-way contract before the season starts, or it can provide a player with a bonus of up to $77,500 if he is waived and then spends at least 60 days with the team’s G League affiliate.
