According to Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports, via The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the New York Knicks, who made it to the semifinals of the 2023/24 playoffs, are reportedly gearing up for contract extension talks with head coach Tom Thibodeau this offseason. These discussions could lead to a significant pay raise for Thibodeau.
Shams Charania, during an appearance on Run It Back, stated that the Knicks are eager to secure Thibodeau for the long term, and it wouldn’t be surprising if his new deal pays him $10 million or more annually.

Under Thibodeau’s leadership, the Knicks are on the brink of reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2000. They currently hold a 3-2 lead over the Pacers, with the next game scheduled in Indiana for game 6.
