Free agent guard Kevon Harris is set to sign a training camp deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
During the 2023-24 NBA season, Harris had limited playing time, appearing in just two games for the Orlando Magic, where he averaged 2 points, 1 rebound, and 0.5 assists per game.
Most of his season was spent in the G League with the Osceola Magic, where he showcased his skills more effectively, averaging 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists over 27 games.
However, injuries and limited opportunities on the court led to the Magic declining his qualifying offer, resulting in his release. Now, Harris will look to earn a spot on the Clippers’ roster ahead of next season.
However, securing a spot on the Clippers’ roster could prove challenging unless the team trades or waives one of the players currently projected to be part of their 15-man roster.
The Clippers are carrying 15 players on fully guaranteed contracts, along with Kai Jones on an Exhibit 10 deal.
