Update : Kate will not return tonight vs Sky. Her next chance to suit up will be against Liberty.
The Aces found themselves trailing by as much as 13 points in the first quarter against the Chicago Sky.
Guard Kate Martin had to be helped off the court and into the locker room after suffering a leg injury with just 1 minute and 19 seconds remaining in the quarter.
Although the injury seemed to occur on its own, a Sky player was nearby when it happened. Given the severity of the injury, it’s uncertain if she will return for the rest of the game, although a second-quarter comeback hasn’t been completely ruled out.
If she can’t make it back, her next chance to play will be in the game against the New York Liberty.
