Justin Minaya has agreed to a Two-Way contract with the Portland Trail Blazers as per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
At 25, Minaya played 34 games for the Blazers last season but had a minimal role. He averaged 1.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in 11.2 minutes per game, with shooting percentages of 29.7% from the field and 24.5% from three-point range.
Standing at 6’5″, Minaya is more recognized for his defense than his scoring. He performed better in the G League with the Rip City Remix, playing in 20 games, including the Showcase Cup and regular season, and averaging 13.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, shooting 43.8% from the field, 33.6% from beyond the arc, and 60.6% from the free-throw line.
The Blazers’ roster is now full, and they are filling their Two-Way roster spots, starting with Minaya. According to Sean Highkin of Rosegardenreports.com, Ibou Badji is likely to return on a Two-Way contract as well.
