Josh Richardson to Miss Miami Heat’s Season Opener

Josh Richardson of the Miami Heat is facing uncertainty regarding his availability for the regular-season opener against the Pistons on Wednesday, as reported by Ira Winderman from the Sun-Sentinel.

This uncertainty stems from a foot injury Richardson sustained during a preseason game against the Nets on October 18.

Since then, he hasn’t been able to participate in practice since last Wednesday; also missed practice today.

If the experienced guard is unable to take the court, it could create an opportunity for Caleb Martin and Duncan Robinson to assume more significant roles.

Josh Richardson’s journey in the NBA has been quite eventful since he was involved in the Jimmy Butler trade in 2019.

Following his time with the Philadelphia 76ers, he had stints with the Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, and New Orleans Pelicans.
