Back in June, some fans noticed WNBA guard Kysre Gondrezick, formerly dating Kevin Porter Jr. (now with the Clippers), on Jaylen Brown’s duck boat at the Celtics’ championship parade.
On Thursday night, Brown and Gondrezick confirmed their relationship by appearing together in style on the red carpet at the ESPY Awards in Los Angeles.
Brown is nominated for and won the “Best Championship Performance” after being named MVP of the NBA Finals.
The Celtics, who defeated the Dallas Mavericks in five games to secure their 18th world championship, are also nominated for “Best Team.” Additionally, Boston’s small forward Jayson Tatum is in the running for “Best NBA Player.”
This week wasn’t the best for Brown, as he felt snubbed by USA Basketball, which chose Celtics guard Derrick White over him to replace Kawhi Leonard at the upcoming Olympics.
Brown even suggested that Nike played a role in excluding him from the roster due to his criticism of the company’s handling of Kyrie Irving.
After the ESPY event, reporter Cam Newton asked Jaylen Brown about being left off of the Team USA roster. Jaylen responded: “I ain’t really got no comment. I’m with my beautiful [ Kysre] date tonight.”
As for Gondrezick, she was recently waived by the Chicago Sky recently. With Brown and Gondrezick making their relationship official, we can expect to see more of the couple in the near future.
