Jason Kidd Sign Multi-Year Extension With Mavericks

As we reported yesterday, news broke that Dallas would be extending their contract with Jason Kidd. Now, it’s confirmed that Kidd, the coach of the Dallas Mavericks, has officially signed a multi-year extension with the team, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Under Kidd’s leadership, the Mavericks have had two seasons where they won over 50 games out of three. One of their most notable accomplishments was reaching the Western Conference Finals in 2022.

Despite missing the playoffs last season, the Mavericks are now preparing to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder, with hopes of returning to the Western Conference Finals.

Before this announcement, there were rumors circulating that the Los Angeles Lakers were eyeing Kidd as a potential acquisition. However, it seems they’ll need to search elsewhere for a replacement for Darvin Ham.
