Isaiah Stewart Suspended 3 Games Without Pay For Punching Suns’ Drew Eubanks

The NBA has announced a three-game suspension for Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart following his altercation with Phoenix Suns forward Drew Eubanks.

The incident occurred on February 14 before the Suns hosted the Pistons. Stewart was arrested for assault after punching Eubanks in the face and was subsequently issued a citation and released.

Stewart gained notoriety for a previous altercation with Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James during the 2021-22 season.

Suns star Kevin Durant expressed his disappointment regarding the situation, saying,

“It’s unfortunate what happened before the game, it’s supposed to be a brotherhood.”

Durant acknowledged that conflicts can arise but emphasized the league’s efforts to avoid such incidents. He further went on to express his support for his teammate,  Eubanks.

“I also understand, dudes get into stuff. We try to avoid that in this league, hopefully we can move on from it. We all support Drew.”

Isaiah Stewart stands to lose around $108,966 due to this suspension, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks.

The suspension takes effect tonight as the Pistons face the Indiana Pacers, with Stewart’s next game scheduled against the Chicago Bulls on the road.
