Injury Update on Terry Rozier and Jaime Jaquez, Jr. For Game 5 vs Boston

The Miami Heat won’t have Terry Rozier (dealing with a neck issue) and Jaime Jaquez, Jr. (recovering from a right hip flexor strain) for Game 5 against the Boston Celtics, the team announced.

During Monday’s game, the Heat suffered a heavy defeat against the Celtics, and to make matters worse, rookie forward Jaime Jaquez Jr. sustained an injury.

Jaquez was unable to play in the fourth quarter after scoring nine points on a 40 percent shooting rate in 22 minutes of play. With Jaquez sidelined, guards Patty Mills and Delon Wright received more playing time in the final quarter.

Rozier will miss his 11th straight game. Delon Wright, Patty Mills, Kevin Love and Duncan Robinson are all candidates for increased roles.

The Heat will have to bounce back at TD Garden on Wednesday night, facing a must-win situation as they trail 3-1 in the series.
