This unfortunate injury will keep him sidelined for the Raptors’ preseason opener against the Sacramento Kings this Sunday.
During training camp, the 24-year-old was entrusted with more responsibilities, including ball-handling and decision-making, as part of the team’s focus on nurturing their young talents.
However, this injury may have the potential to impede his development, but it’s important to emphasize that the season has not started, providing a sufficient window for re-evaluation and potential recovery.
Precious Achiuwa made his way to Toronto as the main return for Kyle Lowry. He received considerable praise, especially from the teams’ president Masai Ujiri, upon joining the team.
In the 2022-23 season, he delivered a fairly respectable performance for the Raptors, averaging 9.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 0.9 assists, showcasing his value as a role player.
