Injury Notes: Doc Rivers Provide Update on Kris Middleton and Giannis Antetokoumpo’s Injuries

Bucks’ Kris Middleton was absent from Thursday’s practice due to a right ankle sprain, according to Eric Nehm of The Athletic. Middleton had to briefly exit Tuesday’s Game 2 because of his ankle injury, and it’s still bothering him a few days later.

Coach Doc Rivers said there’s “a little concern” about Middleton’s availability for Friday’s Game 3. “It’s another holding our breath situation, so honestly, I don’t know.” Doc added.

The Bucks will probably continue to monitor Middleton’s condition leading up to game 3, but his absence would be particularly notable if Giannis Antetokounmpo remains out with a calf injury.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was active on the court today. Doc Rivers noted that he engaged in a lot of floor activities, which Rivers described as the most he’s seen from him.  “Yeah, he did a lot of floor stuff today. Probably the most I’ve seen.” Doc said.

Antetokounmpo wasn’t just walking or jogging; he was shooting and moving around. However, Rivers also mentioned that Antetokounmpo didn’t participate in any live action drills.
