Hawks Sign Dylan Windler to Two-Way

Dylan Windleris joining the Atlanta Hawks on a two-way contract, as reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Hawks had an available two-way spot after moving Trent Forrest to a regular contract, so they didn’t need to make any additional moves.

Windler previously played under a two-way deal with the Lakers but was let go to accommodate Harry Giles. He began the season on a similar contract with the Knicks.

In the 11 games he played this season with both the Knicks and Lakers, Windler only scored an average of 1.3 points. However, he’s shown better performance in the G League, where he averaged 13.3 points and 8.2 rebounds in 16 games.

Windler caught attention earlier in the season by setting a G League record with 33 rebounds in a single game back in January. He can play in 12 out of Atlanta’s remaining 22 games this season.

Windler, aged 27, was chosen as the 26th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. For the first three years of his career, he played with the Cavaliers, averaging 3.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 84 games.
