Hardaway Ruled Out, Gafford Questionable for Friday vs Clippers

UnderdogNBA reports that Dallas Maverick’s Tim Hardaway, dealing with an ankle injury, won’t be on the court for Friday’s Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

He’ll undergo re-evaluation in a few days. This setback follows his early exit from Game 2 due to a right ankle sprain.

In his absence, Derrick Jones, Dante Exum, and Josh Green might see more playing time. Hardaway’s next opportunity to play will be in Game 4 on Sunday.

Also Daniel Gafford’s status for Friday’s game is questionable as he deals with a lower back injury.

He didn’t participate in Thursday’s practice, raising concerns about his availability. In Game 2, he played only nine minutes due to the injury. If Gafford is unable to play, Dereck Lively and Maxi Kleber could step up with increased minutes.

The series is currently tied (1-1), with Dallas being one of only three teams (alongside the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers) to secure a road win in this year’s playoffs so far. The Mavericks will have a home-court advantage as the series transitions to Dallas for Games 3 and 4, starting Friday.
