Grizzlies Interested in Nets’ Day’Ron Sharpe

The Memphis Grizzlies are gearing up for an overhaul of their roster heading into next season. After grappling with numerous injuries that derailed their playoff hopes, there’s a strong indication that the team will prioritize adding multiple centers this offseason.

According to NBA insider Matt Moore of The Action Network, Day’Ron Sharpe of the Brooklyn Nets is a player of interest for Memphis. The Grizzlies may propose a trade package involving a second-round pick and one of their bench wings to acquire Sharpe.

Sharpe averaged 6.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game in the 2023-24 season. Throughout his career, he has maintained averages of 6.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game over three seasons.

In addition to Sharpe, the Grizzlies are reportedly interested in Clint Capela of the Atlanta Hawks, alongside the Washington Wizards, New Orleans Pelicans, and Chicago Bulls.

This past season, the Memphis Grizzlies finished with a 27-55 record, landing them 13th in the competitive Western Conference and 4th in the Southwest Division, thus missing out on the playoffs.
