Luke Kennard of the Grizzlies has recovered from his concussion and is set to make a return to the court for Wednesday’s game against the Utah Jazz.
Unfortunately, Santi Aldama, dealing with a right ankle sprain, and Derrick Rose, who is experiencing soreness in his left knee, will not be available (joining Brandon Clarke, Steven Adams and Suspended Ja Morant), per the teams’ PR.
After missing three consecutive games due to the concussion, Kennard is now officially back in action.
Grizzlies’ Head Coach Jenkins had already indicated to the press before their game against the Dallas Mavericks that fans might see Luke Kennard back in the lineup for the Grizzlies in their upcoming away game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.
Jenkins stated, “Luke is progressing well in the concussion protocol. his symptoms are gone. All the different stages I downloaded a couple of days ago, he’s cleared all of those. we are hopeful, hopefully it’s on the shorter end.”
Kennard was a standout performer in the late stages of the 2022-23 season, and the Grizzlies are counting on him to quickly regain that form and help break their losing streak.
The Grizzlies are eager to secure their first victory of the 2023-2024 NBA season when they face the Utah Jazz at the Vivint Smart Home Arena on Wednesday. Memphis currently holds a 0-4 record in the early part of the season.
