Grayson Allen Didn’t Return Tuesday vs Timberwolves

The Phoenix Suns have once again faced a setback as Grayson Allen had to leave Tuesday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to a knee injury.

During the third quarter of Game 2, Allen landed awkwardly on his right ankle, which he had injured in Game 1 just a few days earlier.

Allen appeared to be in considerable pain right after the fall and needed assistance to get to the locker room.

Shortly after, cameras showed Allen limping with a trainer helping him through the arena tunnels.

In Game 1, Allen played for 25 minutes before being sidelined with an ankle sprain, and his status was listed as day-to-day.

Before Tuesday’s game, the Suns listed Allen as questionable due to the injury, but he was ultimately cleared to play. However, he only managed to play for 17 minutes before exiting due to the injury.

After Allen’s departure, Royce O’Neale took his place on the court. The Suns might also consider using Eric Gordon in a small lineup against the Timberwolves’ tall players.

If Allen continues to be sidelined in subsequent games, O’Neale is likely to see increased playing time.
