Fox Ruled Out vs Timberwolves

On Friday evening, the Sacramento Kings will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

Unfortunately, the Kings will be missing their star player, starting point guard De’Aaron Fox, who has been ruled out for tonight’s game due to a left knee injury, as per the Kyle Draper.

Before this update, Fox was tagged as questionable, but he still managed to attend the morning shootaround.

This will be his second consecutive absence, as he also missed the team’s last game. Davion Mitchell is likely to start in place of Fox against Minnesota.

Despite his absence, Fox has been having an outstanding season, averaging 26.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 1.9 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 47.1% from the field and 36.9% from three-point range in 51 games.

The Kings are hopeful that a few days of rest will aid in his knee’s recovery. As for Monday’s game against the Bulls, his status remains uncertain.

Currently, the Kings hold the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 33-25 in 58 games. They’re currently on a two-game losing streak and have won only 4 out of their last 10 games.

Following the matchup against the Timberwolves, the Kings will head back home to host the Chicago Bulls on Monday night in Sacramento.
