Cody Williams, Younger Brother of OKC’s Jalen Williams, Declares for 2024 NBA Draft

Cody Williams, a freshman forward at Colorado, has decided to enter the 2024 NBA Draft, revealing his intentions to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Williams, currently ranked No. 10 on ESPN’s big board, is anticipated to be a lottery pick.

During the 2023/24 season, Williams played 24 games for the Buffaloes, averaging 11.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest. ESPN recognizes him as one of the premier defenders in the 2024 draft class.

Although he was once considered a top contender for the first overall pick, Williams slipped to No. 2 in ESPN’s mock draft in February due to minor injuries that hindered his performance towards the end of the season, as noted by Wojnarowski.

In addition to his efficient scoring, particularly in transition, Williams often took on the challenge of guarding the opposing team’s top scorer, according to ESPN. He hails from Arizona and is the younger brother of Thunder forward Jalen Williams.
