Clippers Sign Kris Dunn, Mo Bamba

The LA Clippers have agreed to sign Kris Dunn, a free agent guard, according to Chris Haynes of TNT and Bleacher Report. The deal is expected to involve a sign-and-trade with the Jazz, potentially increasing Dunn’s salary, as reported by Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.

Additionally, the Clippers are bringing on Mo Bamba on a one-year deal, a former lottery pick, and adding another player from the 2024 76ers, Nicolas Batum, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Dunn, who was the fifth overall pick in the 2016 draft, didn’t quite meet expectations early in his career with Minnesota and Chicago. However, he has since developed into a reliable player off the bench.

Over the past two seasons with Utah, Dunn showcased strong defensive skills and versatility in the backcourt, earning praise from head coach Will Hardy for his leadership in the locker room.

During his time in Utah, Dunn appeared in 88 games, starting 35 of them. He averaged 7.4 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 20.6 minutes per game, with shooting percentages of .497 from the field, .395 from three-point range, and .741 from the free-throw line.

Despite being considered a potential target for the Suns, Dunn will now join the Clippers, moving to a team that appears ready to transition away from Russell Westbrook as their backup point guard.

For Bamba, he played in 57 games in Sixers thread last season, averaging 4.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game in 13.0 minutes of play.
