Celtics Secure 4-Year, $30 Million Extension with Payton Pritchard

The Boston Celtics have reached a deal with guard Payton Pritchard for a four-year rookie scale extension valued at $30 million, according to his representatives at CAA Basketball, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

This contract will come with complete guarantees, Wojnarowski further notes.

Pritchard, 25, had an average of 5.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 13.4 minutes per game throughout 48 games in the previous season, during which he made three starts.

As a 2020 first-round selection from the University of Oregon, he boasts career statistics of 6.6 points, shooting at a 43 percent accuracy rate, along with 2.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists.

Over his initial three seasons in the league, Pritchard participated in 39 of Boston’s playoff matches.
