Cavs’ Jarrett Allen Likely To Suit Up For Game 3 vs Celtics But on Reduced Minutes

Update : Jarrett Allen is sidelined for Saturday, his next opportunity to take the court will be in Game 4.

Update
: Jarrett Allen is not undergoing pre-game warmups at his usual time ahead of Game 3. However, Dean Wade, who was also listed as questionable for this matchup, has been seen warming up, potentially aiming for a return tonight.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Boston Celtics (1-1 ) on Saturday evening for Game 3 of their second-round playoff series in Ohio.

There’s potential good news for the Cavs, as one of their key players, Jarrett Allen, who has been nursing a rib injury, is likely to make a return.

However, head coach Bickerstaff has indicated that if Allen does play on Saturday, he will see reduced minutes due to his rib injury, as reported by the Underdog NBA.

He was at the team’s shootaround this morning in preparation for the game against the Boston Celtics. Allen, 2022 NBA All-Star, has missed the previous five games.

During the regular season, Allen had impressive averages of 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.1 blocks per game, shooting an impressive 63.4% from the field across 77 games.

The Cavs hold the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 48-34 record. They advanced to the second round after defeating the Orlando Magic in a seven-game series. This marks the second consecutive season that the Cavs have made it to the NBA playoffs.
