Brooklyn Nets Exercise 2024/25 Team Options On Cam Thomas and Day’Ron Sharpe

The Brooklyn Nets have decided to exercise their team options for the 2024/25 season for both guard Cam Thomas and center Day’Ron Sharpe, as officially announced on Thursday.

This move paves the way for both players to become eligible for extensions under the rookie scale during the upcoming offseason.

Cam Thomas, who was selected as the 27th overall pick in the 2021 draft, is set to receive $4,041,249 for the ’24/25 season.

As for Day’Ron Sharpe, the 29th pick from the same draft, he’s going to earn $3,989,122.

In their recent performances, Cam Thomas showcased his offensive prowess during Brooklyn’s season opener against Cleveland.

He contributed significantly by scoring 36 points, displaying an impressive 13-of-21 shooting accuracy in a mere 25 minutes as a bench player.

However, his last attempt didn’t find the mark, resulting in the Nets narrowly losing the game by one point.

On the other hand, Day’Ron Sharpe made his 2023/24 season debut by playing 12 minutes, where he managed to secure four points, two rebounds, and two blocks.

In the past two seasons, he has participated in 80 games for Brooklyn, maintaining averages of 5.3 points and 4.5 rebounds within 11.8 minutes per game.

On Friday, the Brooklyn Nets face the Dallas Mavericks as they progress through their 2023-24 NBA campaign.
