The first injury report for the 2023-24 season of the Blazers has been released. Unfortunately, Ish Wainright will be absent in the season opener against the Clippers due to a right calf strain, the team reports.

On the brighter side, Robert Williams III, acquired from the Boston Celtics in the Jrue Holiday trade, is not yet recovered from his knee injury but has received medical clearance to participate (his name is not included in the injury list).

Apart from Ish Wainright, all other players on the Blazers roster are in good health as they approach their season opener.

Portland acquired Wainright through waivers last Saturday and his next opportunity to take the court won’t be until Friday’s game against the Orlando Magic.

Shifting our focus from the Blazers to the Los Angeles Clippers, Terance Mann will remain unavailable for the game against the Blazers tomorrow.

There’s also uncertainty surrounding Bones Hyland, who is labeled as questionable due to an ankle issue.

The star duo of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George is notably absent from the injury report and is expected to take the court tomorrow night, reports Tomer Azarly of Clitchpoints.
