Trail Blazers, Bryce McGowens Agree to Two-Way Deal

Bryce McGowens, 21, has signed a two-way deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The 21-year-old guard was selected as the 40th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft after playing one season at Nebraska.

He spent his first two professional seasons with the Charlotte Hornets. Recently, the Hornets decided to waive his non-guaranteed contract to free up some salary cap space.

Last season, he posted averages of 5.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.9 assists over 14.9 minutes per game, shooting 43.9% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc.

The Blazers currently have only one player, Justin Minaya, on a two-way contract. McGowens will occupy the second of the three available two-way slots.

According to Sean Highkin of Rose Garden Reports, McGowens will join the Blazers’ Summer League team. Their Summer League games tip-off this Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs.
