According to Michael A. Scotto of HoopsHype, the Detroit Pistons will not extend qualifying offers to center James Wiseman and guard Malachi Flynn.
Wiseman, the 23-year-old who was the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, will now enter unrestricted free agency after playing a career-high 63 games last season, averaging 7.1 points and 5.3 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game.
Meanwhile, Flynn, aged 26, who achieved a career-high 50 points earlier in the season, will also become an unrestricted free agent.
The Pistons are expected to explore the market after a disappointing season last year. They recently acquired Tim Hardaway Jr. via a trade from the Dallas Mavericks.
Hardaway had been on their radar for some time before they finally landed him. Additionally, the Pistons are expected to express interest in Tobias Harris of the Philadelphia Sixers, who is no stranger to the Pistons.
