The Atlanta Falcons have bolstered their secondary by making a recent roster move. On Wednesday, the team announced the signing of cornerback Anthony Johnson.
Johnson, aged 24, began his NFL journey last year as an undrafted free agent. He initially joined the New Orleans Saints for their offseason program and training camp.
Afterward, he landed on the Saints’ practice squad. However, in October, he parted ways with New Orleans and later joined the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad. Eventually, he signed a futures deal with the Packers. Earlier this month, Green Bay released him.
Despite his opportunities, Johnson did not see any action in a regular-season game during the 2023/24 season.
