OG Anunoby to Miss Remainder of Game 2 With Hamstring Injury

The New York Knicks have announced that OG Anunoby will be sidelined for the rest of the game against the Indiana Pacers due to a “sore left hamstring.” He finished with 28 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists on 10-19 shooting in 28 minutes of play.

Also, during the first half, there was a moment of worry when Jalen Brunson hurt his right foot, and it wasn’t clear if he’d be able to keep playing. Luckily, he bounced back and rejoined the game after halftime.

Anunoby exited the game clutching his left hamstring after a shot attempt in the third quarter and won’t be back, opening up playing time for players like Miles McBride, Alec Burks, and Precious Achiuwa. Keep a close eye on Anunoby’s condition ahead of Friday’s Game 3 against Indiana.

Anunoby, who was traded to the Knicks from the Toronto Raptors mid-season, wrapped up the regular season with solid stats, averaging 14.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals per game, shooting 48.9% from the field and 38.2% from three-point range in 50 appearances.

The Knicks, seeded second in the Eastern Conference with a 50-32 record, are back in the playoffs for the second consecutive year, having defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in the opening round in six games.
