Colts Exercise Fifth-Year Option For Kwity Paye

The Indianapolis Colts have decided to keep  defensive end Kwity Paye around for another year by exercising his fifth-year option, as announced by the team. This option secures him for the 2025 season with a guaranteed salary of $13.387 million.

At 25 years old, Paye had an impressive college career at Michigan, starting for three years and earning second-team All-Big Ten honors in 2020, despite missing a couple of games due to injury. The Colts selected him with the 21st overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Upon joining the Colts, Paye signed a four-year contract worth $13,644,834, which included a signing bonus of $7,283,516. Now, the Colts have exercised their option to extend his contract for an additional year, starting in 2025.

During the 2023 season, Paye made his mark for the Colts, appearing in all 16 games and tallying 52 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two recoveries, showcasing his value to the team’s defense.
