Rookie Cam Whitmore of the Houston Rockets has joined the team’s growing injury list, as head coach Ime Udoka confirmed he’ll be sidelined for the next three weeks due to a sprained LCL.

Despite his recent sharp performance post-All-Star break, averaging 12.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 20.3 minutes over the last 10 games, Whitmore’s absence will likely lead to increased playing time for rookie Amen Thompson and a rotational opportunity for Jae’Sean Tate.

Additionally, Sengen has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 right ankle sprain, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

This injury will keep the big man out for a few weeks, with Ime Udoka confirming a 3-4 week absence, according to Rockets sideline reporter Vanessa Richardson.

While the bone bruise isn’t as serious as the ankle sprain, it shouldn’t take as long to heal since no ligaments were torn.
