Trail Blazers’ Jerami Grant didn’t return to Saturday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies due to discomfort in his right quad, the team announced.
Dalano Banton took over for him at the start of the second half. He wrapped up the match with just five points, shooting 1-5 from the field, 1-4 from three-point range, and 2-2 from the free-throw line.
While his injury sounds relatively minor, Portland tends to handle their veteran players with caution. With Grant sidelined, the Blazers may turn to players such as Jabari Walker and Matisse Thybulle for support in the subsequent matchups.
