Los Angeles Clippers guard Russell Westbrook fractured his left hand during Friday’s game against the Washington Wizards, the team announced .
Westbrook has been primarily coming off the bench this season after the Clippers acquired James Harden. In 57 games, he’s averaging 11.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

Unfortunately, Westbrook is the second player to suffer a fractured left hand tonight, alongside Raptors forward Scottie Barnes.
During the post-game interview, Clippers head coach Ty Lue provided update on Russell’s injury, saying
“Just feel bad for Russ. You never want to see a player get hurt… We don’t know a timetable, don’t know if he needs surgery or anything like that.”

Despite being 35 years old, Westbrook is still known for his strong rebounding and ability to drive to the basket.
Before the trade for Harden, Bones Hyland was the team’s backup point guard, and with Westbrook injured, Hyland is expected to see more playing time in the rotation.
