During Friday’s game against the Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes, left the game due to a left-hand injury.
In his absence, Kelly Olynyk, who had also left the game earlier, returned to start in the second half.
Barnes seemed to injure his hand when his teammate, Immanuel Quickley, accidentally kicked it while attempting to block a shot in the second quarter.
Scary stuff for Raptors fans. Scottie Barnes smacks his hand against the rim and is in so much pain he can’t even catch the pass. He then immediately sprints to the locker room after intentionally fouling to get out of the game. pic.twitter.com/anZLlKn231

Despite being an All-Star for the first time in the 2023-24 season, Barnes has been averaging 20 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game while shooting 47.4 percent from the field for Toronto.
Olynyk exited the game after a hard fall that caused him to land on his back. Standing at six-foot-eleven, the Toronto native was aggressively going for an offensive rebound over two Warriors defenders.
The Raptors acquired Olynyk from the Utah Jazz at the trade deadline. Since joining the team, the ten-year NBA veteran has been averaging 9.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, shooting 49.0 percent from the field.
Toronto, with a record of 22-37 before Friday’s game, is scheduled to play against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday and Scottie Barnes will be good to go considering the nature of his injury.
