Denver Nuggets Reportedly Interested in Trading for Raptors’ Bruce Brown

With the NBA trade deadline coming up on February 8, the Denver Nuggets seem really interested in getting Toronto Raptors’ wing Bruce Brown Jr. back.

He was part of the Nuggets’ championship team in 2023, and they like his varied skills. It’s not just them; other teams are also thinking about adding him to their squad.

According to Marc Stein’s podcast [Thisleague Uncut], the Raptors are getting a lot of trade requests for Brown. Toronto wants, at the least, a first-round pick and a good player in exchange for Brown. This has made the competition higher among potential bidders.

NBA insider Chris Haynes, who spoke on the podcast, also agreed with Marc Stein’s report, saying that the Raptors are getting more calls than usual about Brown, showing that many teams are interested.

Although Brown has been linked to the Lakers and Knicks, the Nuggets are also interested. Haynes said, “I was told that the Denver Nuggets would love to have Bruce Brown back…they just don’t have the picks to try to do that.”

Brown is having a pretty good season, averaging 12.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and three assists per game with a 48.1% shooting accuracy. Additionally, his salary for this season is $22 million, and there’s a team option for $23 million for the next season.
