Raptors Open to Trading Bruce Brown for First-Round Pick and Quality Player

Just days after arriving in Toronto, Bruce Brown Jr. may not have much time to settle, as trade rumors have already surfaced regarding another potential deal for the 27-year-old wing.

The Toronto Raptors, who acquired Brown from the Indiana Pacers in the recent Pascal Siakam trade, are reportedly seeking a first-round pick and a young player in exchange for Brown, according to from Marc Stein.

Notably, the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks have expressed interest in Brown. However, the trade for the Lakers is somewhat complex.

In order to match salaries, the Lakers would need to offer either Rui Hachimura, D’Angelo Russell, or Gabe Vincent to Toronto. These players are all under multi-year contracts, which could impact Toronto’s flexibility moving forward.

Well, It’s worth noting that Brown has been performing well this season, averaging 12.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and three assists per game with a shooting accuracy of 48.1% from the floor.

Additionally, his current salary is $22 million for this season, with a $23 million team option for the next season.
